Mt Ida Mares

At Mt Ida Miniature Horses we consider our mares to be of tremendous importance to our breeding programme. We look at many different aspects as to their suitability for our breeding programme including type, temperament, size and, colour. We like our mares to be of good type with clean and true action. Most of our mares are trained to harness and are often used for driving around the local roads or farm tracks near home or visiting one of the local rest homes in Alexandra.
