Breeding and training miniature horses has been a passion of Jenny's since 1986
when she was first introduced to the breed by her uncle, Eden Hore, importer and
founder of the well known "Glenshee Miniature Horse Stud".
Jenny was fascinated by the athletic ability of these well conformed tiny horses and became dedicated to breeding miniature horses to the conformation of their larger cousins and enjoyed the challenge of breeding size, colour, temperament and conformation, all within one small package.
Mt Ida Miniature Horses are all of pure American bloodlines with the original imported horses from the infamous Dell Ter Stud of South Carolina, USA. In recent years we have introduced several new American bloodlines within our breeding programme - Orion light Vant Huttenest, Rowdy Little Kings Napoleon and Bond Flashing Fury to name a few.
